Charitable Events

CTA is actively involved in several charities and causes.  We give and participate in any activity surrounding the well being of dogs.  At our events we will always have a cause that we ask our attendees to donate to.

What better time, than when you have a room full of animal lovers??  These precious animals rely on us for there quality of life.  We are their voice.

Please be sure to check out our booth at each show to learn about these worthy causes and read below for other charities we have donated to in the past.

"Every charitable act, is a stepping stone toward the heavens..."
-Henry Ward Beecher

January 2008- CTA prepared healthy homemade gourmet dog treats and set up a "Doggie Bag Buffet" for attendees to choose and purchase for their pets.  We made fresh mint parsley bones, peanut butter nutter butters, organic cheddar bones, apple martini cookies, carob chip bones, liver bites, and fresh bait.  All of the proceeds of this were donated to the rescued Michael Vic APBT's that were rescued.  Thanks to everyone for their participation that made this bake sale a huge success.
February 2009- CTA member Tracy Daughtery set up a booth for donations of approved supplies needed for the dogs that are currently oversees fighting the war on terrorism.  These dogs can only receive approved items on a list that we provided.  Monetary donations or approved items were accepted.  All of the proceeds, plus a little more, were sent to these worthy animals who risk their lives everyday.  Thanks for all who participated.

April 2009-Ongoing- BOXERS FOR BOOBIES- CTA President Rob Baker, currently donates money from every one of his wins with BIMBS GRCH Blue Diamond's Empire Strikes Back 'Luke' to Boxers for Boobies, sponsored by the Great Lakes Boxer Club.  CTA has also agreed to be a sponsoring show for this worthy cause to support the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer.  They will have a booth set up at our next show in July.  Please stop by to see Tina Camp, to get involved in this VERY worthy cause, that hits very close to home for some of us.  Visit the Great Lakes Boxer Club's website (located on our LINKS page) to read more about this and everyone's amazing contributions.

July 17-19, 2009:  CTA will be hosting a booth to benefit Best Friends Animal Society-Dogtown.  There are several different ways to donate to this wonderful cause and our booth will have information on all the different levels of support, voluntering and assistance that they offer.  Please be sure to stop by.  So often we would like to help a homeless animal, but due to our inidividual situations are unable to foster or adopt.  Dogtown, does the work for us.  And they could use our support.  Make a difference to an animal....
